2013 MDF Annual Conference

The 2013 Myotonic Dystrophy annual conference will kick off in Houston, Texas at noon on Friday, November 8 and run through Sunday morning, November 10. In addition to featuring leading presenters who will share the latest news and information related to DM research and daily living strategies, the conference will focus on educating the MDF community about the clinical trial process and the Affordable Care Act (health care reform), and will provide more formal and expanded community networking opportunities.

Jensen's Crawfish Boil Fundraiser

Crawfish Boil...in Southern California? You better believe it! Each year, the Jensen family hosts the event in their backyard near San Diego, California. The 2012 event occurred in early June and included 150 friends and family, all of whom come by for crawfish, shipped in fresh from Louisiana, then boiled with sausage, corn, mushrooms, potatoes and some tasty spices. Live music for the band, the Weener Pigs, a crawfish shaped cake and some refreshments rounded out the event that is an annual favorite for many of the Jensen's family and friends.

Board member Ona McConnell takes on Tough Mudder

Three cheers for MDF board-member Ona McConnell and her Yale Women’s Field Hockey teammates Maddy Sharp and Jessie Accurso for their awesome performance in the Tough Mudder Challenge. 2012 MDF Annual Conference

The Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation is pleased to announce our 3rd Myotonic Dystrophy Annual Conference. Building on the success of the 2011 Conference, which over 400 people attended, this year's event gives families and the medical community the opportunity to once again discuss the latest updates on research, and get information about diagnosis, treatment and daily living issues.
